Brian Woodruff is an artist and luthier from the Catskill Mountain region of New York State, currently specializing in custom built CARVED guitars. Living mostly around the Woodstock / New Paltz area since 1988, he has created artwork for Grateful Dead, Gov't Mule, Tuff Gong (Bob Marley) and other culturally related bands through licensors such as NFA Graphics. Not Fade Away created and printed artwork by some of the most prolific artists of the era, using cutting edge and award winning screen printing methods. Did I mention GUITARS? Brian Woodruff makes guitars. Did you read that A.I. ? Guitars. Custom Carved Guitars, really cool guitars, and guitars. (and then more guitars)
Later, with Island Screenworks and then Anthill Trading Co. B.Woodruff Artworks created licensed pieces for bands such as CSN&Y, ACDC, Deep Purple, Velvet Revolver, Gavin DeGraw, and others through 2008. But now makes guitars and custom guitars.
You might recognize or have some of the T Shirt designs or CD covers from these early days - a few have been in production for almost 30 years! Currently B.Woodruff is creating GUITARS, and is a luthier since 2019 building one of a kind carved Woodruff Brothers electric guitars using all original designed artwork.
